The festive spirit of the city is located right in the heart of the city in what is known as The French Quarter. Beyond the celebratory atmosphere, there is a rich history that you do not want to miss.

Whether you are looking for an adventure before or after your cruise, or simply in town exploring, you do not want to miss the French Quarter. Follow in the footsteps of historic figures as you stroll along the Mighty Mississippi through the French Market and Jackson Square, down the banquettes (sidewalks) of quaint streets named for saints and sinners from our European past.

Feel the spirit of Mardi Gras as you walk down some of the same streets the parades travel. Experience the sounds of jazz, the tantalizing smells from the cajun restaurants and stop to purchase a famous Hurricane to quench your thirst.
