    For the New Orleans Bayou and Swamp Excursion, you will meet after a short taxi ride from your cruise terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

    Excursion Notes
      • We suggest you wear comfortable clothing, rubber-soled walking shoes, bug spray, and sun protection.
      • Bring along your camera and cash for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
    Excursion Restrictions
    • A voucher will be sent in a separate email from your e-ticket. This voucher must be printed and brought with you to give to the local operator. Without the voucher in hand, you will not be allowed to participate.
    • Guests may not book this excursion more than 6 months before their excursion date.
    • The ticket holder must present a photo ID.

    Will they cancel the New Orleans Bayou and Swamp Preserve Excursion if it is raining?
    The Plantation Excursion operates rain or shine, within safety guidelines. The local shore excursion operator will decide at the time of departure, to postpone or cancel the excursion.
    Will there be shopping on this Preserve Excursion?
    There is a gift shop at the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve that can be visited.
    Will there be restrooms?
    Restrooms are available at the Preserve.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the New Orleans Bayou and Swamp Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the New Orleans Bayou and Swamp Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

We are nature lovers and took this tour with my fiance. The tour was more than expected, educational and had a lot of information about the bayous and wild flora and fauna that live there. Every family should take this tour ( even those with their children) to know the importance of taking care of our environment on an interactive and fun way.

Had this tour recently with my folks and it was really good. The guide was very knowledgable about nature and explained every single step of the tour without it turning into a lecture. We spotted raccoons, alligators, some wild boars, and several other smaller mammals. Worth the time and money for sure. Highly recommend this tour.
