Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the delicious and unique flavors of the mix of traditional colonial Spanish and local Mayan cooking that you can prepare yourself. A fun and interesting combo that includes the true taste of the culture at La Tortilla Cooking School and the Antigua Market.

Good, but not what we expected. Allentown, Pennsylvania, US

We are foodies so thought this would be a good experience. It was, but not what we expected. The Market stop was a brief run through part of the market but we didn't buy anything. Then we took a drive through Antigua and finally pulled up at Maria's house. We went inside and Maria put us to work. She was happy that we had knife skills. We prepped the veggies for the stew and added them to the pot of chicken. The we toasted the remaining items and those got tossed in the blender to add to the stew. We got to make the dessert from plantains and sweet black beans which were quite yummy. We took a break to run around the corner to the tortilla shop to get fresh made tortillas. The food was excellent!
