You'll take the free shuttle that will take you the length of the 4-mile long pier and into the edge of town. You'll then need to take one of the many taxis available (or Uber) to Costa Club Resort. This cute little beach hotel is situated about 10- 15 minutes' drive from your cruise ship so less time traveling and more time beaching! If you are looking to get away from the loud cruise ship crowds, then this is the place...you just might be the only ones there!
Your day pass gives you a food and beverage credit as well ($8.00 USD for adults and $7.00 for children, no credit for non-paying infants). When you are hungry, you can order from the beach club menu and your credit will be subtracted off your tab at the end of the day. You'll have use of two freshwater pools, kids pool, kids games, a long stretch of sandy beach, lounge chairs, beach chairs, poolside umbrellas, thatched-roof palapas, showers and more. You can spend your beach day swimming in the ocean, cooling off in the pool, walking the sandy beach or relaxing on a lounge chair by the ocean. You will have lots of room to catch some rays in the sun or chill in the shade.
It's your day to enjoy. At the end of your stay, you can simply take a taxi or Uber back to your Progreso cruise terminal. Guests just need to be aware of the all aboard time and allow for travel back to the terminal.
